Real offers, not coupons
Buy-one-get-one poutines, 20% off sandwiches, a free dessert with any main. Each one is agreed with the business, with a set number of uses per member per month so it stays worth their while.
One membership. Buy-one-get-one deals and discounts at restaurants, cafes and activities around campus, good all year.
Launching in Montreal.
What you get
Every partner runs at least one standing offer, so there is always something on when you are hungry between classes.
Buy-one-get-one poutines, 20% off sandwiches, a free dessert with any main. Each one is agreed with the business, with a set number of uses per member per month so it stays worth their while.
Recognised campus domains verify instantly. Anything we do not recognise takes one photo of your student card and a quick manual check. No plastic card to carry, nothing to renew at a desk.
Bouldering at Climb Escalade, a lane at Strike Bowling, an hour at Escape Room MTL. The map shows everything currently running an offer around you.
How it works
We send an emailed code, you type it in. Recognised campuses are verified the moment you are in.
Browse by category or open the map. Every card shows what you save and how many uses you have left this month.
Staff give you the location's four-digit code, you enter it in the app, and the discount is logged on the spot. No screenshots, no printouts, nothing to hand over.
Membership
Paying by the year is always cheaper, and the first one is half price.
Renews monthly. Cancel whenever you like. Works out to $95.88 over a year.
$29.99 instead of $95.88. That is what the same year costs paid monthly. After your first year it is $59.99, and only if you choose to buy again. Nothing renews on its own.
Twelve months at $7.99 is $95.88. The annual pass is $29.99 for your first year and $59.99 after that, so it is cheaper every year, not just the first. Prices in Canadian dollars.
For businesses
Listing is free. You set the offer, you set how many times each student can use it, and you pick which locations it runs at, so a group can test one quiet store without committing the whole chain. We bring the students and handle the verification.
Questions
Any Montreal post-secondary email we recognise verifies instantly, including Concordia, McGill, UdeM, UQAM and Dawson. If your domain is not on the list yet, upload a photo of your student card and we will check it by hand, usually the same day.
It depends on the offer. Each one carries its own limit per member, either per month or per year, and the app shows how many you have left before you walk over. The limit is what makes partners comfortable offering something real rather than a token five percent.
No. You ask for the offer, they give you the location's four-digit code, and you enter it in the app. That way the discount cannot be screenshotted and passed around, and staff never have to inspect a student card.
Montreal is where UniPerks is starting, and every partner is here. Other cities depend on where we can sign enough places to make a membership worth paying for, so rather than promising one, the app simply tells you when you are outside the coverage area instead of showing offers you cannot reach.
The monthly pass renews through the App Store or Google Play and you can cancel it there at any time, keeping access until the period you paid for runs out. The annual pass is a single charge that simply expires, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing renews behind your back.
Tell us in your own words. This is the bit that helps us work out which students would actually walk over, so a sentence is more useful to us than a category.
Partner application
Five short steps, about two minutes. Nothing is charged and nothing goes live until we have spoken and agreed an offer with you.
Step 1 of 5
Create your account
Two steps and about thirty seconds. Nothing is charged here — you buy the membership in the app once your account exists.

The agreement
Last updated September 11, 2026
UniPerks is operated by Emerson Taylor, based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In these terms, "we", "us" and "UniPerks" mean the operator, and "you" means the person holding a UniPerks account.
These terms are the agreement between you and us. Please read them before you sign up, because by creating an account you are agreeing to them.
UniPerks is a paid membership that gives verified university students access to offers at participating restaurants, cafes and activity venues, mostly in Montreal.
We are not a restaurant and we do not sell food, drinks or tickets. Our partners do. What you are buying from us is access to the offers our partners have agreed to make available to members, and the app that lets you find and redeem them.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold a UniPerks membership. If you are under 18, please do not create an account.
You must be a current student at a recognised college or university. We verify this either automatically from your school email domain, or by a manual review of a photo of your student card if we do not recognise your domain.
One account per person. Your account is yours alone.
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your school email address. Anyone with access to that inbox can access your UniPerks account, so keep it secure.
Do not share your account. Your membership is for you, not for your friends, your roommates or anyone else. If we see one account being used by several people, we will warn you once. If it continues, we will close the account, and we will not refund it.
Tell us promptly at hello@uniperks.ca if you think someone else has got into your account.
UniPerks is sold in two ways. The monthly membership renews automatically each month until you cancel it. The annual pass does not renew automatically: it is a single charge that gives you a year of access, and when the year is up it simply ends unless you choose to buy another one.
You can cancel a monthly membership at any time through your Apple or Google account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the month you are currently in, and you keep access until that month runs out.
Prices are shown in the app before you buy and include any applicable taxes. We may change our prices, but a change never affects a purchase you have already made. If we change the price of the monthly membership, we will tell you before your next renewal.
All purchases are processed by Apple or Google through their in-app purchase systems. We never see or store your card details.
You can have a full refund within 14 days of your purchase as long as you have not redeemed any offer. Email us at hello@uniperks.ca and we will help you get it processed.
Because Apple and Google handle the money, a refund has to be issued through them, not by us directly. We will support your request and tell them we agree to it, but the final decision on processing sits with the store you bought through. If a store refuses a refund we have agreed to, contact us and we will find another way to make it right.
After 14 days, or once you have redeemed an offer, purchases are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
What you are buying is access to the UniPerks network, not to any particular restaurant or any particular deal. Partners join and leave, and offers change.
We do not promise that any specific restaurant, venue or offer will be available for any length of time. An offer can change, be limited, or be withdrawn at any time, including one that was a reason you signed up. This does not entitle you to a refund.
What we do commit to is running a real network: if partners leave, we work to replace them. If you feel the catalogue has become too thin to be worth what you paid, email us and tell us. We would rather hear it than lose you quietly.
Each offer has its own terms, including how many times you can use it and over what period. These are shown on the offer before you redeem it.
To redeem, you select the location you are at, ask staff for that location's UniPerks code, and enter it in the app. The app then shows a confirmation screen with a timestamp and a reference number, which you show to staff.
Do not attempt to reuse, screenshot, share or fake a confirmation screen. Doing so is a breach of these terms and we may close your account for it without a refund.
Offers are for personal use. They cannot be resold, transferred or combined with other promotions unless the offer says so.
Our partners are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own food, service, premises and staff, and we are not liable for what happens at their locations.
That said, if a partner refuses a valid, in-date offer, that is our problem too. Email us at hello@uniperks.ca with the date, the location and what happened. We will take it up with the partner directly, and where a redemption was recorded but not honoured we will restore it to your account so it does not count against your limit.
If a partner repeatedly fails to honour offers, we will remove them from UniPerks.
Do not use UniPerks to commit fraud, do not create multiple accounts, do not use someone else's student credentials, and do not try to get around the limits on an offer.
Do not copy, scrape, resell or republish the offers, partner list or other content in the app. It is how we make a living and it is what our partners agreed to share with students, not with the public.
Do not attempt to break, probe or interfere with the app or our systems.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if you are no longer a student, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently.
Where the breach is account sharing, we will warn you first. Where it is fraud, or a repeat of something we already warned you about, we may act immediately.
If we close your account because you broke these terms, you are not entitled to a refund. If we close it for any other reason, or if we stop operating UniPerks entirely, we will refund the unused portion of what you paid.
You can close your own account at any time by emailing us.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. The short version: we collect what we need to verify you are a student, take your payment and record your redemptions, and nothing beyond that.
We do not sell your personal information to our partners or to anyone else. Partners receive aggregate statistics only, such as how many redemptions happened and how many were repeat visits. They never receive your name, your email or your individual visit history.
We provide UniPerks with reasonable care, but we cannot promise the app will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.
Nothing in these terms limits or removes any right you have under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be contracted out of. Where those laws conflict with anything above, those laws win.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use UniPerks after that means you accept the updated terms.
If you do not accept a change, you can close your account, and we will refund the unused portion of an annual pass on a pro-rated basis.
A French version of these terms is available on request at hello@uniperks.ca and, once published, on our website. You may ask for the French version at any time and are not obliged to accept an English-only agreement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Quebec. Any dispute goes to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.

Your data
Last updated September 11, 2026
UniPerks is operated by Emerson Taylor in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Because we operate in Quebec, we are governed by Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.
Emerson Taylor is the person responsible for the protection of personal information at UniPerks and can be reached at hello@uniperks.ca.
Your school email address, so we can sign you in and confirm you are a student.
Your name, if you give it, so your profile and any support conversation is not anonymous.
A photo of your student card, but only if we do not recognise your email domain and need to verify you manually. We delete it once verification is done.
Your redemptions: which offer, which location, and when. This is what enforces the limits on an offer, shows you your own history, and produces the aggregate reporting our partners get.
Basic technical information needed to run the app, such as error reports.
We do not sell your personal information. Not to partners, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
We do not give partners your name, your email or your individual visit history. They receive counts and rates only, such as total redemptions and how many were repeat visitors, and we suppress any figure small enough to identify an individual.
We do not track your location in the background. The map uses your location only while the app is open and only if you allow it.
We only send promotional emails if you opted in when you signed up, and that choice is separate from creating an account. You can change it at any time in Settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
Regardless of that choice, we will still send you the emails we have to: your sign-in codes, receipts, and notices about your membership or these terms.
Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Apple and Google process payments. These providers act on our instructions under contract and cannot use your information for their own purposes.
Some of these providers process data outside Quebec. Before using a provider that does, we assess whether your information receives adequate protection there, as Law 25 requires.
We keep your account information while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes, refunds and our tax records.
Student ID photos are deleted as soon as verification is complete.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or anonymise it.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to send it to you in a portable format.
You can withdraw your consent to anything that is optional, such as marketing emails, at any time.
Email hello@uniperks.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
If there is a confidentiality incident involving your personal information that presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information promptly, as Law 25 requires, and we keep a register of any such incidents.

Membership
One payment, every offer in the app for a year. Cancel or simply do not renew.
Step 1 of 3
Sign in
We'll email you a code. No password to remember.
Support
A real person reads every message. We answer within one business day, usually sooner.
Check your junk folder first, since school mail systems are aggressive about filtering. If it still isn't there after five minutes, message us below with the exact email address you used and we'll get you in by hand.
Tell us which place, which offer and roughly when. Staff turnover is the usual cause and a quick call from us fixes it. If you were refused an offer that was live in the app, we will credit the visit back.
A monthly pass bought in the app is cancelled in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, not here. A monthly pass bought on this site is cancelled from the link in your receipt, or just message us. An annual pass does not auto-renew at all, so there is nothing to cancel.
If you haven't used an offer yet, yes, within 14 days, no questions. Purchases made in the app are refunded by Apple or Google rather than by us, and we'll point you at the right form. Full details are in the Terms.
You can delete your account yourself in the app, under Settings. For a copy of everything we hold about you, message us and we'll send it within 30 days, as Law 25 requires.
The app
Everything happens in the app: finding offers, and redeeming them at the counter.
Free to download. You only pay for the membership.
Use the address on your account and everything you have already paid for is there waiting.
Find a place, open the offer, and staff give you a four-digit code to type in. That is the whole thing.
Account
Your email is how you sign in, on the website and in the app, so it cannot be changed here. Message us if you need it moved to a different address.
A pass bought in the app is managed in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, not here. A monthly pass bought on this website is cancelled from the link in your receipt. An annual pass does not renew on its own, so there is nothing to cancel.
You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, or ask us to correct something, without closing your account. We answer within 30 days, as Law 25 requires.
This removes your account, your name, your school verification and your redemption history. It cannot be undone. Restaurants keep a count of how many times each offer was used, with nothing linking it to you.
Deleting does not cancel an auto-renewing membership. Only the App Store or Google Play can do that, so cancel it there first if you do not want to be charged again.
